We currently serve kindergarten through 8th grade. We welcome you to peek into the New Frontiers Family. Charter Schools are independent public schools, designed and operated by educators, parents, community leaders, and others. They are sponsored by designated local or state educational organizations who monitor their quality and integrity, but allow them to operate freed from the traditional bureaucratic and regulatory red tape that hog-ties public schools. Freed from such micro-management, charter schools design and deliver programs tailored to educational excellence and community needs. Our teachers are teaching, our students are learning, and in some cases our children are performing in talent shows, P.T.O. and the San Antonio Spelling Bee. Our scores show great improvements. We still have many activities scheduled before the end of the year. Of course, TAKS is here. Our students will be tested the week of April 28th. All 3rd through 8th will be testing that week. We will need your help as usual. Talk to them, put them to bed early, and let them have a good breakfast. Many of our grade levels will be taking some field trips after the TAKS test. Many times they need parent volunteers. If your child gets a flyer where teachers are requesting volunteers please let them know a- head of time. We do need to do a criminal check on all volunteers.
