I'm originally from Corpus Christi, TX. Yes, I grew up on the beach. I hold an Associates Degree in Kinesiology from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi and a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Management and Minored in Health from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.

My hobbies took me rock climbing, hiking, canoeing and mountain biking. This led to a job with Youth Odyssey working with at-risk youth doing the very same things I loved. Youth Odyssey sent me to training in Arizona where I hiked 75 mile across the desert! 

After moving to San Antonio, I worked for Sea World San Antonio in the Education Department. I was able to get in the water and swim with the Beluga Whales and touch Sea Lions, Penguins, California Sea Otters, and Killer Whales! 

I came to NFCS as the PE Coach. Later moved into the classroom teaching 6th grade Math and Science then moved down to teach 5th Grade Math and Science.  Last year I taught 8th Grade Science and 6th Social Studies. I was a part of the Texas Regional Collaborative through Region 20 Education Service Center and became a Texas Science Mentor. This will be my 9^th year at New Frontiers. Currently, I am the Technology Teacher . 

I currently hold the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt in Kung Fu and 2nd Degree Black Sash in Tai Chi. I am currently working on material to test into 3rd Degree Black Belt for Kung Fu and 3rd Black Sash in Tai Chi.  Currently, I run a martial arts school here in San Antonio.   Just ask for more information.
