The annual Staff vs Students Basketball game was an exciting game indeed!
The Cougars gave it their all in their quest to whip up on their teachers but alas it was not to be. Once again the staff won. The Boys’ and Ladies Cougars did an outstanding job! This year’s student team came the closest to beating the staff of any team in NFCS history!
The Cougars this year are a wonderful bunch of students who have displayed awesome sportsmanship, tremendous teamwork, and a wonderful support system for each other. They have been a joy to watch.
Kudos go out to all the elderly who participated in the game. We were indeed impressed that you still got game!
A few of you have some new nick-names out there, but that is okay…. It is all in the spirit of fun.
There were just too many who played really well to mention.
Side splitting laughter, screams, yells and hoots filled the air as once again NFCS proved that our Cougar Family has what it takes!

Congratulations
to our Lady Cougars who won the district championship on Friday, Feb.
8th. For those of you who missed it, it was an awesome and nail-biting
game. The team's win was due to their stifling defense and Amanda
Martinez who hit the game-winning shot with only ten seconds left on
the clock. Congratulations to our lady Cougars for an unforgettable
season. They are: Amber Maldonado, Tiffany Barrera, Samantha Luera,
Amanda Martinez, Brittany Gonzales, Devalin Garza Machado, Victoria
Ledezma, Darleen Suniga, Imani Jones, and Savannah Elizondo. A special
shout-out goes to Brittany Gonzales who was named tournament MVP.
