cherry.jpgNew Frontiers Charter School is pleased to offer your child a delicious and nutritious school breakfast and lunch through a partnership with Osirus. Osirus is a catering service that specializes in school food service. Starting in 2005-2006 Osirus and New Frontiers have agreed that the best delivery of quality school meals is to prepare and cook all meals in our own kitchen. We are pleased to announce that Osirus has made a substantial investment in state of the art kitchen equipment and will provide all meals prepared on site at our school.

Many of our families qualify for free meals through the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program. Even if you don't qualify for free meals you may qualify for reduced-priced meals ($0.30 for Breakfast and $0.40 for Lunch) or full-priced meals ($1.25 for Breakfast and $2.00 for Lunch).

Please feel free to review the monthly menus to determine which meals your child may be interested in or when you may want to send a sack lunch for your child. New Frontiers requires pre-payment for meals so make sure that you send money when you know your child will be eating a school meal. We do not like to refuse a child a meal because the parents haven't paid for them but we can not run an effective school meal program if meals are not paid for in advance.

bun.jpgNew Frontiers Charter School is dedicated to involving the students and parents in the school's food service program. In an effort to involve parents in the food served at the school, we have developed a food service committee that includes teachers, administration, and parents. Parent representatives serving on the committee were also involved in the selection of a food service vendor (caterer). In an effort to sustain parent and student involvement in the food being served to their children New Frontiers Charter School's food service department will provide the following services.

pears.jpgOsirus, Inc. managers believe nutrition education is one of the most important factors in our day-to-day operation. This is the reason we continue to work closely with Educational Service Center, Region 20. It is important to maintain healthy menus, accurate paperwork, and proper nutrition facts for the kids and parents involved in our food service program. Osirus, Inc. has a number one concern- the health and nutrition of the kids.
