ernest.pngThe end of the school is at hand. We have had a wonderful year so far. Our teachers are teaching, our students are learning, and in some cases our children are performing in talent shows, P.T.O. and the San Antonio Spelling Bee. Our scores show great improvements.

We still have many activities scheduled before the end of the year. Of course, TAKS is here. Our students will be tested the week of April 28th. All 3rd through 8th will be testing that week. We will need your help as usual. Talk to them, put them to bed early, and let them have a good breakfast.

Many of our grade levels will be taking some field trips after the TAKS test. Many times they need parent volunteers. If your child gets a flyer where teachers are requesting volunteers please let them know a- head of time. We do need to do a criminal check on all volunteers.

Street lights – Well, they are finally here. We have been evaluating the traffic and so far I don’t see any problems. Whenever you have a chance let me know what you think.

I would like to give Jennifer Zuniga a special thank you for representing our school at the Annual San Antonio Spelling Bee. It was a great honor to see her picture in the newspaper. I am sure it was an experience for her as it was for us. We will try it again next year. Good Job, Jennifer!

We will be having the 1st and Kinder Round-Up the week of May 12th – 17th. The school will be open and parents of children that will be 5 years old before September 1st may come and visit our 1st and Kinder classes.

Our last festival of the year will be on Saturday, May 17th in the front of the school from 11 am to 1 pm. We will be unable to do our annual Cinco de Mayo so we are  hosting “The NFCS Festival Finale” on May 17th. Join us for a great time. Details will be forthcoming.

We thank you for enrolling your children at NFCS, your school of choice. We will continue to work with you as partners in the education of our children.
