Sixth grade for the 2007-2008 school year is almost over; however, before the end comes we have a lot to do. First of all we would like to congratulate all of our students for their overall outstanding behavior this year. We would also like to congratulate Jennifer Zuniga for being our NFCS School Spelling Bee champion and for representing us so well at the Regional Spelling Bee. Jennifer we are VERY PROUD of you. would also like to thank the students who participated in the Reader’s Theatre performance at the April PTO meeting. You all did a FANTASTIC job.
Secondly, TAKS is on April 29 and 30 so, please students, remain focused and actively engaged in all classes. Finally, the school year does not end with TAKS. We still have five weeks after the test. All students need to do their daily reading homework as well as complete and turn in all assignments in all classes. Remember, promotion is based on satisfactory academic progress and attendance in all classes. On May 16, we will be taking a field trip for Math and Science Day. Students, there are two things you must do in order to be permitted to attend the field trip, maintain appropriate behavior at all times and sell at least one raffle ticket during our fundraiser May 5-9th.
