New Frontiers Charter School is dedicated to involving the students and parents in the school's food service program. In an effort to involve parents in the food served at the school, we have developed a food service committee that includes teachers, administration, and parents. Parent representatives serving on the committee were also involved in the selection of a food service vendor (caterer). In an effort to sustain parent and student involvement in the food being served to their children New Frontiers Charter School's food service department will provide the following services.

• Quarterly food service surveys.
• Semi-Annual health fairs with a food service information table.
• The nurse will provide nutritional consultation to student and parents.
• The food service vendor will provide a nutritional class to all students annually.
• The Cafeteria, Nurses Station, and Main Hallway will provide nutritional information posters accessible to all parents and students.
• The School will send home nutritional packets as they become available.
• Monthly Principals Coffee's are conducted where the topic of the food service program is discussed at each coffee.

New Frontiers Charter School is focused on providing meals that are nutritionally
sound with appealing presentation. With the implementation of a food service committee with parents serving on the committee, we are confident that we will be able to provide the best quality meals and the information necessary for the parents and children to eat healthy both within and outside of the school environment.
